Add the pork to a skillet, and saute over medium high heat until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
Stir in the onions until softened.
Add in the mushrooms, ginger paste, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce and matchstick carrots. Saute until the mushrooms begin to soften.
Mix the meat into the pot.
Pour in the vegetable broth, and stir to combine.
Stir in the napa cabbage, cover and simmer until the cabbage has softened.
Season with salt and pepper and garnish with green onions before serving.
