In a bowl, combine the lettuce, mayonnaise, garlic, vinegar, Italian seasoning, peppers, onion and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine well.
Place a piece of bread on a flat surface.
Add a slice of provolone and a slice of mozzarella to the bread.
Layer four slices of pepperoni, four slices of salami and 2 slices of ham on the cheese.
Place a ¼ of the lettuce mixture on top of the meat.
Top with another piece of bread.
Repeat steps 2-6 to create 3 more sandwiches.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the sandwiches to the skillet, and toast them until crispy on both sides.
