Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds Beef Stew Meat
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 15 ounces Can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Turnips Peeled and Diced
  • 1 Carrot Sliced Thinly
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tsp Swerve Granulated Sugar Substitute
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium high heat, and sear the meat on all sides. Set the meat aside.
  • Add a small amount of broth to the saucepan, and mix in the turnips, onions and carrots.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and salt and pepper to taste. Saute for one minute.
  • Mix in the tomato paste.
  • Pour in the diced tomatoes, sugar and broth.
  • Place the cinnamon stick into the saucepan.
  • Return the meat to the mixture.
  • Cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
  • Remove the cinnamon stick, garnish with parsley and serve.
