This will become your favorite way to cook ham! The tangy keto balsamic glaze sets it apart. You’ll love this tangy keto ham recipe.
Is Glazed Ham Keto
Traditional glazed ham is not keto-friendly. It is usually made with either honey or maple syrup. Both of those things are so high in carbs that it would throw you right out of ketosis!
Ham is a keto-friendly animal protein, so you just have to modify the glaze. I created the tastiest sticky-sweet glaze and there are just 2 grams net carbs in each serving. Amazing!
Shopping List
Before you make the keto balsamic glazed ham, this is what you’ll need from the store. All of the exact ingredient amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Spiral Sliced Ham

- Balsamic Vinegar
- Swerve Brown Sugar Substitute
- Minced Garlic
Ingredient Substitutions
There are a few ways that you can change things in this recipe to save yourself time or to make it taste differently the next time. If you make any changes, please let me know. I’d love to hear!
- Dijon Mustard – give it a bit of spice and use spicy brown mustard instead.
- Balsamic Vinegar – try it with red wine vinegar for a sweet flavor.
- Minced Garlic – If you need to, you can use garlic powder instead.
- Swerve Brown Sugar Substitute – In a pinch, you can use sugar-free honey as a replacement, just use a bit less of it.
Keto Balsamic Glaze
When I tell you that this balsamic glaze is incredible, I’m telling the truth. You can use it in so many other ways. Drizzle it on top of keto everything bagel bites. Use it as a dipping sauce for keto pizza chicken bites. The options are endless!
Since I added the glaze to the ham and let it cook in the slow cooker, I didn’t have to let it cook down. But if you’re going to use it as a dipping sauce, I suggest simmering it on the stove. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes. It will thicken as it cooks.
What To Eat With Glazed Ham
What are your favorite low-carb and keto-friendly holiday side dishes? Use them and serve them with the keto balsamic glazed ham.
Cauliflower pumpkin mac and cheese will taste incredible. So will cauliflower mash or keto breadsticks. Focus on recipes with low-carb vegetables and made with keto-friendly ingredients.
And don’t forget about low-carb creamy pumpkin soup. It should be on everyone’s dinner table; it’s that good!
How To Store Glazed Ham
You can definitely make this ahead of time. Store the cooked glazed ham in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Try to keep the air off of it as much as possible. I put it in a casserole dish and wrapped it in aluminum foil. To make it easier to serve, I like to carve the ham off the bone and store it in an airtight container with the glaze in a separate container.
