    Poached Chicken

Have you heard of poached eggs? Making poached chicken is along those same culinary lines. It’s a way to cook chicken in boiling water so that the chicken comes out flavorful and tender, every single time.

There are so many reasons to begin to cook your chicken this way. In this post, I’ll share some of my favorite keto chicken recipes that you can make with poached chicken.

I’ll also do my best to answer as many questions as I can. If you have a question please leave it in the comments.

    How To Poach Chicken Breast

If you have ever seen chicken breasts with rib meat in the store and wondered, “how do I cook that?” Then maybe you should try to poach the chicken breasts.

It involves almost no prep time and they come out cooked perfectly!

In fact, poaching chicken breasts is my favorite way to cook them. Since chicken breasts tend to dry out in the oven or stovetop, poaching them keeps them tender and juicy.

The most important thing to remember is to check the internal temperature of the chicken. When it reads 165F, it is fully cooked!

    Poached Chicken Thighs

Poaching is also a simple way to cook chicken thighs that have the bone in them. You can usually find them on sale, and when you poach them, you don’t have to do much trimming or cutting.

The best thing about poached chicken thighs is that they come out so tender, the meat falls right off the bone.

    How To Use Poached Chicken

Save the broth! It is full of amazing herbs and spices. Save the broth in a sealed container in the refrigerator and use it whenever a recipe calls for chicken stock or chicken broth.

Here are just a few of my favorite chicken recipes that you can use poached chicken in!

    Best Spices For Chicken

When you make this, remember to use fresh herbs. It will give the broth and the chicken the most robust flavors. My favorite spices for chicken are the basic ones – garlic, onions, salt, and pepper.

You can also use bay leaves. I love how sweet the bay leaf makes the broth. It really counteracts the saltiness of the chicken.
