A refreshing keto strawberry daiquiri is the perfect summer drink! Adding fresh rosemary makes it brighter (and looks amazing too).
What Is In A Strawberry Daiquiri
The texture of a strawberry daiquiri resembles a frozen slushie, so make sure you have a blender or food processor.
A classic strawberry daiquiri is made with rum, simple syrup, lime, and a handful of fresh strawberries. Then, they are all blended together with ice until it’s nice and smooth.
The good news is that strawberries are a low-carb fruit, so I used fresh fruit! The result is a fruity drink without any strange aftertaste.
Shopping List
Before you switch on the blender, this is what you’ll need from the store. All of the exact ingredient amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Fresh Strawberries
- Keto Sweetener of choice
- Fresh Rosemary
- Frozen Strawberries
- Rum
- Ice
Ingredient Substitutions
There isn’t much room for substitutions in this recipe, since it’s a pretty basic recipe as it is. If you make any changes to it, please let me know in the comments. Here are a few ways you can change it up:
- Make it non-alcohol without rum
- Optionally, add a squirt of lime juice
- Rum: If you don’t have rum, you can use plain vodka instead.
Do not substitute dried rosemary instead of fresh. The fresh rosemary sprigs add a lot more flavor when they are stepped in the hot water. Dried rosemary is less pronounced.
Best Liquor for Daiquiris
Rum is the best liquor to use in a strawberry daiquiri. It has a perfect blend of citrus flavors.
If you don’t have rum, you substitute with unflavored vodka. The vodka will actually enhance the strawberry flavors, giving it a kick without overpowering the drink.
Be creative and try it with lime rum or dark rum. I prefer the light rum because it isn’t as strong and the strawberry puree is more pronounced.
You can also make them non-alcoholic by leaving the rum out entirely. Replace it with some coconut milk or just make a rosemary strawberry smoothie.
Keto Party Snacks
Serve this drink at your next party! It’s so much fun, especially when you pour it into a party glass!
If you love citrus flavors, serve these drinks with some keto coconut lime bars. They perfectly complement your daiquiris or stick with the strawberry theme and serve some cheesecake stuffed strawberries.
You won’t believe how delicious they are.
You can even add some saltiness with the sweet flavors and serve some keto spiced pecans. They are a party favorite!
Can You Make Daiquiris Ahead
I don’t recommend trying to make daiquiris ahead of time. The ice will melt in the refrigerator, and you’ll have a runny daiquiri.
These take like 5 minutes to make in a blender, so make fresh daiquiris right before you serve them.
