Two iconic holiday drinks combine to make a rich, creamy, and sweet drink. Keto eggnog hot cocoa tastes like it came from the North Pole.

    Eggnog Hot Cocoa

Cold weather means hot drinks, and winter has some of the best-tasting warm drinks. I always look forward to the return of peppermint mochas, salted caramel lattes, mulled wine, and hot chocolate.

    Keto Eggnog Hot Cocoa

This is a very indulgent drink. Each mug has about 5 grams net carbs in it. But you won’t feel like you’re missing out when you only drink one cup.

It’s a very rich and sweet drink. You’ll feel full after one cup.

    Keto Winter Drink

There are two types of people in the world: those who love eggnog and those who don’t. The best thing about this hot cocoa is that even if you don’t like eggnog, you will love how this hot chocolate tastes.

    Keto Eggnog Hot Cocoa

It doesn’t have a strong eggy flavor. It tastes mostly like a creamy, nutmeg and cinnamon-spiced chocolate drink.

One of the best feelings in the world is cuddling on the couch under a blanket with a mug of hot cocoa and your favorite keto desserts. Grab a small bowl of keto spiced pecans. The nuttyness of the pecans will really enhance the cocoa taste.

Or eat some keto pumpkin donuts with the eggnog hot chocolate.

    Keto-Friendly Hot Chocolate

This recipe makes enough for six cups of hot cocoa. It tastes best when you serve it fresh and hot, directly from the stove. Trust me, don’t try to make this in the microwave.

    Keto Eggnog Hot Cocoa

You need to cook the egg yolks over the stove in order for the eggnog to turn out correctly.

I used almond milk in the hot chocolate, but you can use dairy milk or even coconut milk if you want. I think the almond milk is the perfect taste and texture.

    Is Eggnog Keto

Eggnog is only keto-friendly if you make it homemade. The kind of eggnog you buy from the store is made with a lot of sugar, so I don’t recommend it.

    Keto Eggnog Hot Cocoa

In the recipe card below, you’ll find a recipe for homemade keto-friendly eggnog. I made it with heavy whipping cream, almond milk, and egg yolks (and a few other ingredients). Don’t add the egg whites. When you make egg nog just with egg yolks, it keeps the drink thick.

    Keto Hot Chocolate

I love how thick and creamy this hot cocoa recipe is – and that’s because I made it with keto chocolate chips, not cocoa powder. When you melt chocolate chips, the texture is so much more luxurious.

    Keto Eggnog Hot Cocoa

For a little added flavor, sprinkle in some dark chocolate chips with it.

Don’t forget to top your hot cocoa with more cinnamon. Add a cinnamon stick as a garnish for a little extra flair!
