You can make these keto Santa hat jello shots with or without alcohol. Either way, they are the perfect sugar-free party food!
Is Sugar-Free Jello Keto
Yes, sugar-free jello is keto-friendly. It’s a fantastic ingredient to use in a ton of different recipes. Some people prefer to eat whole foods and like to stay away from processed food like jello. That’s where the confusion comes in.
In my case, I’m all about using convenient options to create delicious food that helps me stay in ketosis, keep the weight off, and prevent me from eating too much sugar.
Santa Hat Jello Shots
You can make these jello shots with or without the alcohol. I used vodka because it’s a mild-tasting alcohol that blends in really well with the rest of the ingredients. I suggest you stay away from flavored vodkas.
They might seem like a fun way to add more flavor, but they don’t have an ingredients label that says how much sugar they have, so it’s tough to track your macros.
You can also make virgin or alcohol-free jello shots. Replace the vodka with 1 cup of water. It’s that easy.
I’ve used sugar-free jello to make other fun desserts for parties too. These Sugar-free jack-o-lantern jello shots are perfect for Halloween and strawberry jello fluff is a fun spring dessert.
Keto Santa
Make a big batch of these for your next holiday party! They are so cute and come together in just 30 minutes. The little strawberries with whipped cream looks just like Santa’s iconic red hat!
Shockingly, each jello shot only has 1 gram net carbs! You can afford to indulge a bit in the other low-carb party food options too.
Keto Christmas Dessert
Santa hat jello shots are the perfect Christmas desserts. They taste sweet and jiggly, but have barely any carbs in them.
If you love making Christmas cookies, then you should make keto magic cookies or keto monster cookies . Both recipes are low-carb but you can’t even tell. They are delicious and melt in your mouth.
They are also easy enough for your kids to make them with you.
Christmas Party Food
Make the Santa jello shots ahead of time and they’ll be ready for the party when your guests arrive. Store them covered an in the refrigerator for up to three days. I suggest adding the strawberries right before the party.
You don’t want them to get a funky texture before then.
Serve the Santa hat jello shots with some keto peanut butter mousse. The combination of sweet and salty, smooth and jiggly, is fun and gives your guests plenty of options.
