    How To Make A Cheese Ball 

    Making a cheeseball is incredibly simple! It really is as easy as mixing the ingredients together and rolling them into a ball shape.

    To make a cheeseball that looks like a snowman, there are a few extra steps. You’ll have to freeze the cream cheese balls first before you decorate it to look like a snowman.

    Freezing the snowmen makes them less sticky, so you can add the peppercorn eyes and carrot nose without making a mess. 

    And don’t forget to use white cheddar cheese! This adds fantastic texture to the outside of the snowman that looks like real snow.

    Keto Snowman Cheese Ball

    • Sharp White Cheddar Cheese
    • Cream Cheese
    • Fresh Chopped Chives
    • Ranch Seasoning 
    • Minced Garlic 
    • Peppercorns
    • Baby carrot

    Ingredient Substitutes

    There are a few ways that you can change things in this recipe to save yourself time or to make it taste differently the next time. If you make any changes, please let me know. I’d love to hear!

    • White Cheddar Cheese – Any flavor of hard white cheese will work. Try it with parmesan cheese for a nuttier flavor. 
    • Ranch Seasoning – Make homemade mix or just use a combination of garlic and onion powder. 
    • Peppercorns – Any dried round spice will work. Try it with capers or papaya seeds. 

    Best Cheese for Snowman Cheese Ball 

    Honestly, cream cheese is the best type of cheese to use if you want to make a snowman cheese ball. It’s easy to shape and has a flavor that everyone loves.

    Let it soften first so it is easier to form into a round shape. If you want to make it dairy-free, use goat cheese instead of cream cheese.

    It’s just as soft and easy to form into a ball.

    Keto Snowman Cheese Ball

    If you’re hosting a party, then serve the cute snowman cheeseballs with some other fun keto appetizers. Set the cheeseballs out with some keto pumpkin chocolate chip muffins.

    How To Store Cheeseballs 

    You can make snowman cheese balls before the party or save them to snack on throughout the week. To store them, keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

    I do not recommend freezing cheeseballs. If you do, the texture will change too much when you try to thaw them.

    Cook Time: 0 minutes
    Set Time: 2 hours
    Servings: 10
    Net Carbs: 3 net carbs per serving

    Ingredients:

    Sharp white cheddar cheese
    Cream cheese softened
    Fresh chopped chives
    Ranch seasoning
    Salt and pepper
    Minced garlic
    Whole black peppercorns
    Baby carrots

    Instructions:

    Grate the sharp white cheddar cheese with the smallest setting on the cheese grater to get it as fine as possible.

    In a bowl, stir together the cream cheese, chives, ranch seasoning, garlic and salt and pepper to taste until well combined.

    Spread the finely shredded cheddar cheese out on a plate.

    Form the cream cheese mixture into two balls, one larger than the other. Roll the two balls of cream cheese mixture in the finely grated white cheddar cheese to coat them well.

    Stack the smaller ball on top of the larger one on a parchment lined plate, and chill in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until firm.
