Make this low-carb soup when you’re craving potstickers. Sausage potsticker soup is tastiest way to replace Chinese takeout.
What Is Potsticker Soup
Potstickers are basically Asian dumplings that are pan-fried and crispy on the bottom. They’re typically filled with a tasty mix of ground meat (like pork or chicken), veggies, and some seasonings, all wrapped up in a thin dough.
This soup takes all your favorite potsticker filling ingredients and puts them in a bowl together. Each bite tastes like a delicious potsticker – without the ca

There are a few ways that you can change things in this recipe to save yourself time or to make it taste differently the next time. If you make any changes, please let me know. I’d love to hear!
- Sausage – use spicy sausage or even ground turkey or chicken.
- Butter – to make it dairy-free, use ghee.
- Soy Sauce – to make it completely gluten-free, use coconut aminos instead.
- Vegetable Broth – Chicken broth is an easy substitute.
Best Sausage for Soup
Use your favorite type of ground sausage for this soup. If I’m making this for my kids, I’ll keep the flavors fairly muted and use regular ground sausage or pork. If I know that the people eating it enjoy more spice, then I’ll use spicy sausage.
Just don’t use sweet breakfast sausage in it. The sweetness won’t taste very good with the rest of the ingredients and you never know if it is sweetened with sugar or not.
What To Eat With Soup
As you can see, this is a very filling dinner, but it can also be a comforting lunch. Since this reminds me of sausage and veggie soup with an Asian twist, I like to serve it with typical soup sides, like a sandwich or salad.
My favorite salads are a keto Panera copycat Greek salad and a keto chicken Caesar remain lettuce salad. If you’re more in the mood for something with similar flavors, make Sesame ginger broccoli slaw stir fry.
For sandwiches, I prefer a keto Grinder sandwich or keto ham and pickle roll-ups. They are fantastic choices and taste amazing with potsticker soup.
Storing It
Store your leftover sausage potsticker soup in an airtight and spill-proof container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Then, reheat it in the microwave or on the stove.
I don’t recommend freezing this soup. If you do, the textures of the veggies might change a bit. Soup will stay fresh in the freezer for up to six months.
