Bacon Wrapped Chicken
You have a few options when it comes to the size of the chicken that you bake. If you are short on time, just grab your chicken breast, season it, and wrap it with some bacon.
If you have more time, slice them into the smaller tenders. You might have to cut the bacon so it fits on the smaller tenders. The smaller you make the, the easier they are for kids to eat.
Another thing to remember is that the smaller the chicken, the quicker it will cook. I get it, cutting chicken is messy and time-consuming, but it will pay off.
Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast
You can make this chicken in the oven or use your air fryer. To make it in the oven, just bake it at 400F until it is fully cooked. It takes about the same amount of time in the oven as it does in the air fryer.
Making it in the air fryer is basically the same method. Follow all the instructions in the recipe card, then place it in a preheated air fryer and cook at 400F for 20 minutes. Flip the chicken over halfway through cooking.
I prefer to use my air fryer because it doesn’t take as long to preheat and it doesn’t make my house hot.
Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders
Almost any side dish will go with these bacon wrapped chicken tenders. Serve it with some loaded cauliflower mash. It uses bacon too, so the flavors go really well together.
Italian breadsticks will also taste delicious with it. Steam some broccoli or roast some asparagus and dinner is ready!
You can reuse this chicken in lots of other meals for your meal prep. Chop up the bacon and chicken and sprinkle it on top of your favorite cob salad or in a chicken soup.
Store cooked chicken in an airtight food storage container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Chicken Safe Internal Cooking Temperature
You should always use an instant read food thermometer when you cook chicken. Chicken needs to be cooked until the middle of the meat reaches at least 165F.
