Spider web dip is fun for kids and surprisingly good for them too! It’s the perfect Halloween snack that they can make themselves.

Spider Web Taco Dip
This dip might look fancy, but it’s actually so easy that kids can help make it! You don’t even need any piping bags. You can use a Ziploc bag, just cut the corner off it, and use it as a piping bag.
Serve this spider web taco dip on Halloween while other kids are trick-or-treating. Turn on your favorite Halloween tunes, and the party is ready to start!

As a mother, my favorite thing about this spider web dip is how healthy it is for my kids. All of the sour cream and cheese and heavy whipping cream is a fantastic source of calcium and protein. My kids love how tasty it is and I love how nutritious it is.
Plus, since it is a keto recipe, I can eat it along with them.
Keto Queso
You can make this queso as spicy or as mild as you want. If you want to make it spicier, use the spicy Rotel tomatoes. Or really amp up the spice and sprinkle in some jalapenos just to make sure you dice them really small.

If you don’t like olives you could use jalapenos as the spiders. Just be creative and have fun.
Keto dieters, use cheese crackers, raw bell peppers, or raw cucumbers to dip into the queso. Kids can munch on the dip with their favorite healthy chips or crackers.
Halloween Queso
There is a lot of room for culinary creativity in this recipe. I used ground beef, but if you don’t like ground beef, you can always use ground chicken or ground turkey. Or make it spicy by adding some spicy chorizo into the dip.

To give it a classic queso taste, I used cheddar cheese. But if you wanted it to be spicier, you could use pepper jack cheese or even some jalapeno cheddar cheese. Browse the deli counter, pick out the spiciest cheese you can find, and have fun with your queso.
Spider Web Dip
Making the spider web on top of the queso is the fun part. In fact, this is my kid’s favorite step.

Pour the sour cream into your piping bag or your zip lock bag. Then use the bag to draw your spider web on top of the queso you can make it as intricate or as simple as you want.
In fact, this is why it is so easy. Spiders aren’t always perfect with their webs, so your spider web doesn’t have to be perfect either.
Easy Queso For Kids
You can make this right before the party or make the queso dip in the slow cooker.
If you’re going to make it in the slow cooker, I suggest using a slow cooker with a keep warm setting. The queso could overcook if you leave it on for too long.

This is also the perfect queso to make ahead of time. Just store the dip in the refrigerator the night before. Then all you have to do is reheat it on the stove, and all the flavors and the cheese will melt together again just like new.
If you are going to make it ahead of time, I suggest adding the spider web last. The sour cream spider web does not keep well in the refrigerator.
