Deconstruct your favorite Chinese side dish and make it lunch! Egg roll in a bowl is filling and topped with a spicy mayo sauce that you’ll use in other recipes.
Egg Roll In A Bowl
Do you miss eating egg rolls on the keto diet? I created a recipe that has my kids begging for their own bowl. It literally looks and tastes just like an open-faced egg roll. From the light ground turkey to the umami from the soy sauce and nutty sesame oil, this recipe has it all!
The best way to stay on track with your keto diet is to make takeout recipes at home. Recreate your favorite recipes with low-carb ingredients.
For example, when you crave Dunkin’ make some keto pumpkin donuts at home. It tastes exactly the same, but you will stay in ketosis (and your kids won’t eat too much sugar either).
Egg Roll In A Bowl Keto
This is one of the best recipes you can make for your weekly meal prep. It refrigerates beautifully! Just keep it all in an airtight container for up to three days.
You can totally shred or chop up your own coleslaw mix, but save yourself time and just buy a bag of premade mix. It’s still just as good for you.
Each serving only has 3 grams net carbs! It’s the perfect thing to eat for lunch when you don’t want a carb-heavy meal to slow you down.
Spicy Mayo Recipe
This spicy mayo recipe is one of my favorite things about this recipe. I only drizzled a little bit of it on top, but if you love spicy foods, add as much as you want.
In fact, make extra of this spicy mayo and store it in a mason jar in the refrigerator. Use it as a dip for bacon-wrapped chicken tenders or for your favorite raw veggies.
To make the sauce even spicier, just add more Sriracha. Light it up as much as you want!
What To Eat With Egg Roll In A Bowl
This is a very filling meal, so you don’t have to add a lot of things on the side with it. Some keto bacon and cheese biscuits will taste fantastic.
Or, make your favorite cauliflower rice recipe and serve that on the side. It’s high-fiber and filling.
Start out the meal with some keto egg drop soup. This will feel like you are at your favorite Chinese restaurant.
Egg Roll In A Bowl Ground Turkey
Ground turkey is a fantastic type of meat to eat while on a keto diet. It’s low in saturated fat while still being high in protein. Plus, it’s usually really affordable too.
Feel free to use ground chicken, ground beef, or ground pork instead of ground turkey.
