Need a keto potato salad recipe? Use radishes! This keto radish salad has the same flavors (and an incredible dressing).
What Is Keto Radish Salad
One of the best recipes for summer cookouts and picnics has to be potato salad. You’ll find it at pot lucks, in the grocery deli, and at almost every picnic table across America.
If you think you have to give up potato salad on the keto diet, think again! Just replace potatoes with radishes. It really works! Keto radish salad is a nearly-perfect dupe for potato salad.
There are just 3 grams net carbs in each serving, so it fits perfectly in your macros, too.
Shopping List
All of the ingredients are really easy to find at the grocery store. I used as man pantry staples as I could – so you probably already have what you need. Here’s a quick list of all the ingredients.
All the exact amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Radishes
- Olive Oil
- Bacon
- Hard-boiled Eggs
- Mayonnaise
- Dijon Mustard
- Green Onions
- Sweetener (optional)
Ingredient Substitutions
Keto radish salad is a very basic recipe that is really easy to change. If you make any changes, let me know in the comments.
Here are some of my favorite ingredient swaps and substitutions:
- Make it spicy – use spicy brown mustard
- Bacon – use turkey bacon instead of pork bacon
- Higher fat – use melted coconut oil instead of olive oil
- Mayonnaise – Greek yogurt is a fantastic substitute for mayonnaise
Best Sweetener To Use
Sweetener is totally optional. If you add a bit of it, it will cut the tanginess down and round out all the flavors. To help it mix better, I suggest adding a few drops of liquid sweetener. Stevia drops are my personal favorite – they don’t have a strong aftertaste.
Granular sweeteners can work too; just be careful not to add too much.
Other Picnic Recipes
Bring a bowl of keto potato salad made with radishes and everyone will be asking for the recipe. This radish salad tastes perfect with some grilled keto honey garlic shrimp skewers. They are easy to cook and everyone loves them!
And you can never go wrong with a bowl of classic keto egg salad. It has the perfect balance of mayo and mustard for a recipe that reminds you of your mom’s recipe.
Storage
This is a really wonderful recipe to make ahead and store in your fridge. It saves you time and energy! Here’s how to store it so it tastes the best when you eat it next.
How To Meal Prep:
Store your keto radish salad in an airtight food storage container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days. It will taste best if you eat it within that three-day window.
Do Not Freeze
This salad does not freeze well, I don’t recommend trying to store it in the freezer.
