    Keto Ham and Egg Salad Sandwiches

    These keto ham and egg salad sandwiches only have 4 grams net carbs each. They make egg salad taste so much better!

    What Is Ham and Egg Salad 

    This ham and egg salad is a high-protein twist on my favorite Keto Egg Salad recipe. There are a few ingredient changes, but the most obvious one is that I added some finely chopped ham. 

    Keto Ham and Egg Salad Sandwiches

    The ham adds both protein and a slightly sweet flavor to the creamy salad. For the ham, you can either use thick-cut deli ham or chop up some leftover keto balsamic glazed ham.

    In fact, this is a wonderful Easter lunch recipe! It’s a great way to use leftover Easter ham and those decorated hardboiled Easter eggs. 

    Shopping List 

    Before you make a low-carb ham and egg salad sandwich, this is what you’ll need from the store. All of the exact ingredient amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post. 

    Keto Ham and Egg Salad Sandwich Ingredients

    • Keto Bread
    • Finely Chopped Ham 
    • Hard Boiled Eggs
    • Mayonnaise 
    • Celery 
    • Green Onions 
    • Garlic Powder 
    • Worcestershire Sauce 
    • Dijon Mustard 

    Ingredient Substitutes

    Keto Ham and Egg Salad Sandwich

    • Celery – this is optional. If you don’t like celery, leave it out. 
    • Green Onions – some finely-diced white onions will taste good as a swap. 
    • Dijon Mustard – Try it with spicy brown mustard to give it a kick.

    Best Keto Bread 

    You should always look at the ingredients label before buying bread labeled as “keto-friendly.” Many companies use unhealthy ingredients as a way to increase the fiber so that the net carbs are lower. 

    Keto Ham and Egg Salad Sandwich

    My favorite kind of low-carb bread is from Great Low Carb. Each slice has 1 gram of net carbs. It’s made with wheat protein isolate, which tastes like regular bread. 

    If you need a gluten-free option, try Cauliflower sandwich rounds. They are made with cauliflower, eggs, parmesan cheese, and nutritional yeast.

    You can also make your own sandwich bread. I like to eat this salad in between slices of Keto Protein Everything Bagels. All those spices complement the ham and egg salad. 

    What To Eat With Sandwiches 

    Since this is such a high-protein recipe, I suggest adding salad or vegetables on the side with it. So, either Keto BLT Coleslaw or some fresh Keto Chicken Caesar Romaine Lettuce Boats will both taste amazing with the ham and egg salad.

    Want something sweet? Keto Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries will hit the spot! They are full of healthy fats and nutrients.

    Or for something savory, Keto Loaded Cauliflower Rice Balls and Keto Bacon and Cheese Biscuits will taste delicious with the sandwich. 

    Storing Them

    This sandwich tastes best when you make it fresh. But if you want to save leftovers, I suggest storing the ham and egg salad separately from the bread.

    Keep the ham and egg salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. 

    Making them 

    Here are some step-by-step pictures of the process that you’ll follow to make this filling and delicious keto ham and egg salad sandwich recipe.

    Directions 

    Chopped Ham pieces

    Add all of the ingredients except for the bread to a mixing bowl, and stir to combine well.

    Toast the bread lightly. Layer the filling onto three of the bread sliced, and top each sandwich with one of the remaining bread slices before serving.

    • 1/4 cup Chopped Green Onions
    • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
    • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
    • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard

    Instructions
